  • Condition: Condition, very good overall with some lost or lifted plating at sprocket tooth edges. Freewheel is near spotlessly clean and spins beautifully. Bearings have been deeply re-lubed. Has a silent (by design) ratcheting action and zero wobble. Though soe plating is missing all teeth retain their square edges as when new.

    Description

    Here's an overall excellent example of Shimano's innovative precision freewheel, the 600, featuring sealed mechanism and finely crafted cogs for perfect indexed or friction shifting.
    Model MF-6208: among freewheels, it is one of the quietest and one displaying a remarkable absence of freeplay, aka wobble, at the center. It is also well sealed against the incursion of grit and moisture, both front and back.
    6-speed, standard-ratio, 14-28 tooth format, and 1.370 x 24 tpi threading.
    near-spotlessly clean and ready for service: the
    bearings are newly & deeply lubed with a clingy, Phil Wood-type oil.
    Also features an advanced tooth design: they are slanted for smoother shifting, plus Shimano lowered one tooth on the middle cogs for the same desired end.
