Evian mineral water has been bottled at the source in heart of the French Alps for nearly two centuries, but its origins extend back to the Upper Paleolithic Era during the Ice Age. Evian water's ingredients are the same today as they've always been—snow, rock, minerals, and time—for a taste that's naturally pure and uniquely high in minerals.
Evian natural spring water is naturally filtered over a 15-year process. Rain and snow pass from the Alpine peaks through the mineral-rich sands of the Vinzier Plateau. These sands are enshrouded in clay, keeping the water pure as it travels to the source in evian-les-Bains, where it has been bottled since 1826. The mineral-rich glacier melt also gives Evian water an unusually high pH level, for water that's alkaline and smooth-drinking, sip after sip.
